An annual festival held over an 11-day period each spring, Fiesta San Antonio dates back to the latter part of the 19th century. Originally created as an occasion to honor the battles of the Alamo and San Jacinto, Fiesta is now the city's signature event, bringing in millions of dollars with more than 100 events city wide and beyond.
The festival features concerts, parades, parties, conferences, and many opportunities to dine on regional cuisine. Fiesta attendees enjoy participating in another popular Fiesta tradition, which is the collection of colorful pins and medals. These medals also make a popular collector's items for people who cannot attend Fiesta and those who can.
